Another bug is that some ships in the formation weren't there, but I couldn't replace them or remove them or anything. Oh, and I couldn't get back to the crossroads (essentially the menu) at the end of a mission.

It doesn't support anything above 1600 res, and you can't change the music and sound independently.

Would bang again.. a promising game but unfortunatly buggy and not very polished. the premise is a bullet hell\/third person fleet shooter. you start as a single ship and buy more and chose their fomration while trying to sirvive. unfortunatly the cutscenes leave artifacts as they progress, when dialogue or text happens it takes a significant portion of the screen starting at the lower left and makes it black. when you buy ships the game pauses and for some reason the only was to unpause the game is to bring up the pause menu. game play is best with a controller but trying to do anything in the menues is imposible due to the exreme sentivity setting that you can't change.. The game is fun, and it's core mechanics easy to understand and implement. The story is simple, and I enjoyed the character's knowledge of how ludicrous what they were doing was. It was an interesting take on expected game mechanics (no one questions how 1 man in black ops can accomplish all the tasks he does, it's unrealistic but just accepted by the gamer) but the characters are almost self aware of this without having to do a Deadpool style of 4th wall breaking. An example of this was in the first story mission your briefing tells you that you are to escort a ship and that there will be people trying to attack the escort, and one of the crew members states something to the extent of, "A military mission when we're just explorers and have no idea how to fight? Let's dive in head first!." Subtle humor that I enjoyed. Humor aside you're always just in that believability spectrum, never too far serious or ludicrous. The author knew what kind of experience he wanted to give and he presented it well. This game's story will not lead you into a deeper understanding of humanity or anything like that, but it will give you enough to keep your attention to present to you an enjoyable time.

Visually it's a treat, I don't mean it's NEXT GENERATION GRAPHICS, but it's colorfull vistas and elements of the world backup the style the game is presenting.

I do wish that the way you upgraded your ship\/fleet was more progression based, or unlockable I suppose. Not having practically all ship variants right of the start, and getting certain upgrades or new abilities after beating a level would of been nice. Not to say there isn't any progression, but it seems a bit underdeveloped in my humble opinion.

Unfortunately there are some bugs that will hinder your enjoyment of the game. A short gameplay session occurs before what is supposed to be the intro cutscene, and that gameplay segment is a tutorial that you must repeat after the cutscene. The one that caused me the most trouble is the bugged music. While the music itself is great and fitting, you have no ocntrol over the volume. You can try to turn in down using the enraging cursor that is used in menus, using buggy volume sliders, but even if you manage to get the volume to where you want it (which is unlikely since the first slider barley works, the second even less so, and the third is unusable) after a loading screen the volume goes back to max and if you try to change it after that the music will briefly go to the volume you stay and then quickly rise back to max. I point this out because it made it impossible to make a video of this game because the music was always overpowering my voice.

Bugs aside I recommend the game, and look forward to see what come out of the game creator next.. The game shows much promise for its current state of development. While there are some balancing issues and other small glitches it\u2019s what you would expect from an "early access" game. Overall the gameplay is entertaining in short play sessions but lacks incentive to keep playing. However, these are all thing that can be easily fixed as updates role out. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a casual arcade space shooter.

The game is terrible, it tries to be uplink but dumbs the game down to "Do this, okay that is done do that" and doesn't just hold your hand the entire game but straps you to it with a harness and some objectives didn't show for me so overrall get Uplink, reasons: 1) costs less. 2) a lot more fun and in depth 3) Has onlink and a ton of other mods to get if you get bored 4) typing into a console isn't the only thing a hacker does 6) the game has varity so I rate this 1\/10 poorly constructed money grabing game with DLC that sucks\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665too.. Play Uplink instead.. This is seriously one of the worst games I have ever played, not to mention bought. Not worth it by any stretch, don't spend money on this.. Steam should remove the Linux version of this game, see the forum for game-breaking bugs that the developer will be fixing 'next week'\/'soon' ... for far too many months now. No status updates, no realistic timeline for patches, no good reason to keep the game installed hoping for the mythical bugfix.

Cannot comment on the actual game though as it's somewhat hard to play it when you cannot even read mission objectives.. I bought this game really cheap, but free is the only fair price for it. It is really bad.

First of all it starts on my second display which is my TV, took a while to realize it.

Second, there is a bug where you can't read messages (gives some file not found error), apparently the dev knows about this since Jan or Feb or something and it still isn't fixed. There's a dude that posted some workaround with converting mp3 files to ogg and changing some text files around to make it work, this way you can actually read mission objectives.

The game it is kind of crap, it is not very intuitive what you need to do, in fact in the tutorial the AI hacked me down to 0 firewall and 0 integrity and I had no idea what would I need to do to counter it. Don't be mistaken by the name the game has nothing to do with actual hacking or IT skills, it's just a theme, so it's not about me not knowing what a computer is (I do, working since 15 years in IT).

I know now it's a rather old game and it's not a big financial loss to try it, but if I knew what I know now I wouldn't have paid even 1 euro for it. Angry birds is more fun and an actual game that works compared to this (I don't play angry birds, never undestood the fascination, it's a really stupid game).. Basically the same level of gameplay as a free flash game. If you want a fun Hollywood-style hacking sim, ignore this one and grab Uplink instead.. Purchased on the basis of an updated and improved version of its predecessor 'Evolution' what a mistake !!!!

Its is impressive how so many good ideas can be made in to such crap ... all the good things from evolution GONE, replaced by pretty looking UI and nothing more ... all looks no substance !

Barely even need a keyboard now, sooooo many issues its unreal:
Game logic broken; given 30 minutes to complete a level but if take longer than 8 you're dead
AI attacks no matter what you do - consistently EVERY time.
You have to buy the bootcamp tutorial as DLC... really - its a joke !!!!!
Hardwork even completing the tutorial - especially as it bears no resemblance to its roots from previous game

Save yourself the grief and simply take the money from your wallet you could have purchased this with and burn it instead !


. All the buttons are missing at the bottom on the screen. Unplayable literally a huge was of money. This bug has been known for years yet developer doesn't fix.. Uplink, the 12-year old "hacking simulator", is possibly the finest game of its type yet created. But it is definitely showing its age and I'm not averse to trying something new. On the face of it, Hacker Evolution Duality looks to be an excellent successor to that beloved classic. But first appearances are frequently misleading.

Hacker is not a game; it is a collection of dull and fiddly mini-games. While it has an excellent presentation, the gameplay itself is nothing more than pushing a button at the right time; an uninteresting race against the clock that you need to repeat dozens of times in each mission. It looks great - it has the appearance of Hollywood hacking nailed - but it quickly degenerates into uninteresting repetitiveness. And just to make things even less fun, the controls were stiff and unresponsive; just the thing for a game that demands quick reflexes. Despite its stylish gloss, the game fails to engage on almost every other levels and ultimately is not particularly fun.

The game is focused in combat and the story mode. The game is meant to be hard, there is no respawn or save point, but we added a checkpoint to be closer of some of the other half of the game objectives.

The Player will have to complete Quest that increase the "INFLUENCE" over a map, completing these quest are part of the story and it will unlock areas of the map and Steam Achievements!

Player abilities are very important to turn the tide in battle, in this first Chapter you start as a tank class, which we highly recommend to use left SHIFT, to use the shield and take cover of most of the attacks.

In this First Chapter the player is the Princess Angelore, she has light armor tho, so some very strong enemies can take her down easily, so use her speed, jumps and fast attacks as well as her shield to survive!

I'm sorry, but i can't give this game a thumbs up.

Let's start with the positive aspects: It did not crash an i didn't encounter any bugs. And the fights aren't that bad.

If what you see interests you I suggest you but it.. I am usually not one to crap on a game but in all honestly please dont waste your money on this.
